Medical Assistants should be comfortable in a clinical care setting, willing to work with a team, well-versed in medical terminology, friendly, dependable and patient-focused.
Standard full-time schedule consists of (3) 13 hour days per week. Your work days are not consistent so must have full availability 7 days a week including weekends and holidays. MedSpring is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Looking for Medical Assistants with flexible hours and days to include: weekdays, weekends and holidays from 8 a.m.to 8 p.m.
Responsibilities
-Medical Assistant duties include but are not limited to:
-Rooming patients, taking patient history and vitals
-Assisting with procedures
-Phlebotomy/specimen send-outs
-Assisting with splinting/casting
-Drug and alcohol testing/physicals
-On-call a few days a month required.
-Roving to all centers in your market required.
Qualifications
-At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
-Current BLS certification
-Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Occupational Health experience preferred.
-Ability to provide excellent patient care and great customer service
-Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel outside of your home base center if needed.
-Ability to stay focused under pressure, multi-task and manage a schedule with at least 60 patients per day
-Ability to work autonomously in a small group, but be a team player.
-Dependable with a strong work ethic
-Knowledge of medical terminology
