Veteran/Spouse Program Assistant

Disabled Warriors Foundation® (DWF) steps into its 3rd year grateful for the opportunity to continue serving injured veterans, their family members, and caregivers. Job Description: Looking for an assistant to provide program and administrative support to the lead design engineer for a large information technology system. Candidate would be responsible for managing schedules and reporting status, providing procurement support, and assist tracking and analyzing data. Candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, handle different personalities and be able to work as part of an integrated project team. Candidate needs to have strong organizational skills and have ability to handle many moving parts and various phases of development (design, test, installation, in-service, technology refreshes) and meet stringent deadlines. Ability to frequently interface with team members and external stakeholders to capture inputs, status updates, and engineering data. Candidate needs to be willing to work with numbers, spreadsheets. Candidate should be able to work with engineering data. Candidate needs a working knowledge of EXCEL. Entry-level and early career candidates will be considered for this position Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED. Any related certifications are a plus. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Highly organized with attention to detail Able to work independently & responsibly Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Knowledge of veteran issues, homelessness, and local services a plus Enthusiasm, Positive Attitude, Team Player, Flexibility, & Creativity Ability to listen, take direction, and make sound decisions Ability to organize and implement both short-term and long-term projects and programs.
